2015 Roundtable: Navigating Employment Relationships through Employment Legislation and Standards
This roundtable will focus on Employment law, Employment Standards Act, Human Rights, Privacy Legislation and Worksafe BC all set minimum requirements and legal protection for the employees of your organization. It is important to know your obligations and opportunities when you hire employees.
Participants will gain an understanding of:
- Employment Standards Minimums
- Employee versus Contractor status;
- Common Law obligations for Employers;
- WorkSafe’s recent bullying requirements. Are you compliant?;
- Human Rights legislation in the workplace; and
- We will attempt to fill the an important gap for managers involved in any aspect of management and employee relations.
